Summer Lawn Watering Restrictions
Did you know that a healthy lawn only needs about 2.5cm of water – or about 1 hour of sprinkling – each week?
With the warmer weather comes Coquitlam’s Summer Watering Restrictions. Coquitlam implements sprinkling restrictions to help ease the demands on the City’s water supply.
Sprinkling regulations are in effect June 1 through September 30. Residential sprinkling is allowed based on your residential street address:
EVEN numbered addresses
Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
4am – 9am
ODD numbered addresses
Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
4am – 9am
Gardens, trees, and shrubs are exempt from these watering regulations.
Please ensure that you are following the City’s watering bylaws. If you have a new lawn or are applying a nematode treatment, you can apply for a temporary exemption from the City of Coquitlam.
