School Bus at Burke Mountain

A group of residents at Burke Mountain are working on trying to arrange a charter school bus service for the Burke Mountain area that would service Leigh Elementary, Terry Fox Secondary and Minnekhada Middle School, and possibly Kwaykwitlem Middle School.

The monthly cost of the bus is estimated to be around $50 per month per student depending on the number of students committed to use the service. This estimated cost assumes participation from a sponsor who has expressed an interest to help subsidize the bus service. The resident organizers are hoping more students become aware of the bus service once school starts again, and will join the service as well. The service may not be available for the first week or two of school, but would like to see the bus service up and running as soon as possible.
