Galloway Neighbourhood Park is the newest park at The Foothills – and opened just in time for summer!
Although the weather during the Grand Opening didn’t cooperate (it poured rain all day!) we still saw over 100 residents, neighbours and guests come out to help Wesbild and the City of Coquitlam celebrate this park.
Now that summer is here, Galloway Neighbourhood Park is quickly becoming a neighbourhood favorite. Here’s all that Galloway Neighbourhood Park has to offer:
The play equipment has something for everyone! Speed down the slide, fly high on the swings, or hang from the rope spiderweb. There’s toddler-sized equipment too!
The spray park has been a favorite on recent hot days! Button-operated, the spray park is a welcome reprive in the summer. When we opened the park, we even had kids (and Council Members) running through it with their rain boots and umbrellas!
There’s a full sport court for basketball and ball hockey, as well as lots of picnic tables and plenty of grassy space. There are even checkers/chess boards screwed to each table for some afternoon quiet time – just remember to bring something to use as pawns.
Galloway Neighbourhood Park is located on Galloway Avenue at Hames Crescent – just east of Coast Meridian Road.
