City of Coquitlam Community Consultation Opportunity

At Wesbild, we strive to keep our The Foothills at Burke Mountain homeowners informed of community events and updates. We know many homeowners are anxious for updates in regards to schools on Burke Mountain.

On May 30th, we learned that the City of Coquitlam issued a notice for public feedback regarding a school location on Burke Mountain. School District 43 has indicated that they have adjusted their plans for a middle school site in the Smiling Creek Neighbourhood Plan. As this site is located on land owned by the City of Coquitlam, the City is looking to hear from the community with regards to a proposal to move the Middle School from the Smiling Creek Neighbourhood Plan east into the Partington Creek Neighbourood Plan. This site was also planned to feature a Community Centre and Park.
